Inspired by the beauty of historical artworks and the intricate narratives of such paintings, Gucci has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2018 campaign dubbed “Utopian Fantasy.” Featuring the work of Spanish artist and illustrator Ignasi Monreal, each stunning tableau incorporates the three elements of earth, sea and sky. From mermaids to animal hybrids, each photorealist piece is an invitation to enter a world filled with the uncanny and the sublime.
Complementing the elements of sensuality and mystique are also, of course, the fashion houses’s latest collection. Highlights from the forthcoming program include a sequin-embellished sweater, velvet blazers, monogram-printed frocks and more.
